WINTER GOALKEEPER TRAININGCoach Niko trains a lot of the area’s goalkeepers as well as being the goalkeeper coach for Widener University and the director of coaching of Just4Keepers in NJ. Working with keepers at Widener, coach Niko helped mold the last line of defense to one of the best in the conference. In his three years as the goalkeeper coach, Widener keepers have finished in the top-10 in the conference in total saves and have finished top-five in shutouts. Coach Niko has coached and developed goalkeepers to go on and be standouts in high school as well as college. He has coached Jackson's Ariel Donza to Community College All American team. As the goalkeeper coach at the Futsal 365 Academy coach Niko has coached Ryu Guevara to a roster spot in the USYF U18s National Team.

We must bring more awareness to the US soccer community about why players must play futsal. Most, associate futsal as an indoor winter activity. Nothing further from the truth. Futsal is a small sided game that can be played indoor or outdoor in any hard surface. On outdoor basketball courts, tennis courts, skating or skateboard rinks, parking lots, or any place else. Futsal is a small sided game that appears in every soccer game. Most think of a soccer game as 11v11. Not even close. A soccer game is full of 1v1s, 2v2s, 2v4s, 3v1s 4v4s or any other combination. Although there are 11 players on the field they never actually all play at the same time in the same space...Think about it and lets bring awareness to why we NEED futsal as a main pillar of our soccer development.

SoccerSkillz is a truly unique company that was created to bring initially into the youth soccer landscape quality services and products. Over the years, the owner, Niko Alexopoulos realized that there are so many similarities between youth soccer and other youth sports that the company naturally evolved into offering its services and products to other sports. Still, the core of the company revolves around soccer. The training philosophy has always been sound individual fundamentals in a small sided game environment. The game belongs to the player, which most coaches forget and tend to over coach. Niko was raised in Greece until the age of eight and grew up playing small sided games anywhere there was a ball. 3V3, 5V5, 7V7 or any other combination on any surface. Being a professional goalkeeper's kid he experienced from a young age the benefits of Futsal.

The company also offers year round Futsal development training on hard surface, operates the US Youth Futsal Academy in Central Jersey under the Futsal 365 brand, as well as operate the Mercer and Central Jersey Youth Futsal Leagues, recently rebranded under the name of NJ State Futsal .
